Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET Counseling 2022 started today 7th October 2022. The document verification process would begin shortly in offline mode at the designated centers. Meanwhile, KEA or Karnataka Examination Authority would release the seat matrix and start enrolling the KCET option from tonight. The KCET counseling process is explained below for students.

KCET Advisory Process 2022 – Steps

The KCET consultation process includes document review, option entry, provisional seat allocation, option entry change, initial seat allocation, exercise of choices and seat confirmation, and payment of fee. Scheduled steps are explained below.

KCET Document Review (October 7, 2022 – October 8, 2022)

All students who showed up for the 2022 KCET exam were required to upload their Class 12/PUC grade sheet to the website. Based on criteria set by KEA, the 2022 KCET Rankings were released on October 1, 2022. In addition, the schedule for the document review was communicated to the candidates for the same.

According to the allotted schedule, candidates must appear in person for the document review at the KEA office in Bangalore. All candidates must carry the required documents to the office where they will be physically screened. KCET Option Entry 2022 (From 18:00 on October 7, 2022 – 16:00 on October 11, 2022)

Candidates who have verified their documents and downloaded the confirmation slip can fill out options or enter their options into the college and stream at their convenience. To facilitate this, today, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., KEA would publish the seat matrix online at

Once the seat matrix is ​​published, students will have a better understanding of the number of seats available in a college and the stream selected. Students can provide a series of choices in ascending order of preference.

Remember to fill in as per the selection as in option 1 should be the best choice for college and stream followed by option 2 and so on.

KCET ticket allocation 2022 (October 13, 2022)

Once the options entry is closed, KEA releases the result of the ticket allocation. This is a preliminary allocation to give students a basic understanding of where they will be placed. This is only a sham or provisional allocation and not the final allocation.

KCET Option Entry – Changes (10/13/2022 – 10/15/2022)

After provisional or simulated seating, candidates were given the opportunity to edit their chosen entry. The options entry window would be reopened for students and changes cannot be made if they wish. The option would be available from October 13, 2022 to October 15, 2022. The window to make changes would close on October 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. on

KCET 2022 First Seat Allocation Result (October 17, 2022)

KEA would publish the results of the 1st seat allocation for KCET Counseling 2022 on October 17, 2022. The candidates could examine the options available to them and make the choice.

Election selection, fee payment and admission

The students would get 4 choices in the seat allocation results. Candidates must choose between the four options including the option to accept the assigned seat and drop out, accept the assigned seat but stay for the next round of allocations, decline the assigned seat and leave the system, etc. Depending on their choice and allocation the students can then decide.

When making the decision, students must pay the fee against the election and download the admissions decrees. These would be available once the fee payment has been made. Candidates must then register at the selected university on or before October 22, 2022.

Once this process is complete, KEA will also publish the schedule for the second round of deliberations or the cleanup round, depending on the spaces available. Students who miss Round 1 will be given an option for Round 2 allocation.
