Spring courses begin with NAMI | community

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Wood County offers a variety of programs throughout the year. This program is free and available to all Wood County residents.

· NAMI Family-to-Family is an educational course for family members, carers and friends of people living with mental illness. NAMI Wood County will be hosting their next class beginning March 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the NAMI Wood County office.

· NAMI Peer-to-Peer is an educational course for people living with mental illness. NAMI Wood County will host their next class beginning March 17 from 2-4 p.m. at the NAMI Wood County office.

· NAMI Wood County is hosting a spring t-shirt contest for Mental Health Awareness Month. Submit creations themed Together for Mental Health by February 28th and the winner will be the design for their spring t-shirt campaign through May. Are you a male looking for mental well being support? Join NAMI Wood County’s Men’s Support Group on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 6-7:30 p.m. More details below www.namiwoodcounty.org.

NAMI Wood County is also continuing its NAMI Connections support group in a hybrid model. Other support groups including Family Support Group, Parents & Carers and Peer and Family will be postponed to March.
