Saul Goodman and Kim Wexler cheat on Howard Hamlin in Season 6

Season 5 of Better call Saul ended with Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) committing to cheating on Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian). She and Saul (Bob Odenkirk) plot to discredit Howard and ultimately get him to lose the Sandpiper Nursing Home case. Part of her plan is to convince Cliff Main (Ed Begley Jr.) that Howard is on drugs – an idea that is very close to Cliff, whose son is a drug addict.

Better Call Saul fans think Clifford Main’s son Jesse Pinkman could be his squad leader

A fan of the AMC series shared a photo of Jesse’s group leader (Jere Burns) on Reddit. The character appears in seasons 3 and 4 of breaking Bad.

In “No Más”, Jesse attends a group therapy session at the rehab facility where he lives. He learns that the unnamed group leader killed his 6-year-old daughter while intoxicated on vodka and cocaine. Could this be the son Cliff Main is talking about? Better call Saul?

Many other fans find this theory plausible, especially appreciating the age difference between Cliff and the group leader. “That [age] The difference is at least 20 years,” said one Redditor. Another analyzed the character in more detail, basing his comment on the death of the group leader’s daughter on July 18, 1992.

“That means the daughter was born around 1986,” they commented. “If we assume he was at least 18 when he [had] a child; he was born in 1968. That would make him 36 inches UCS S6, that’s 2004. I’m guessing that could make him Cliff’s son?”

Whether or not the group leader becomes Cliff Main’s son will likely have little to no impact on the plot of Better call Saul. If anything, confirming the character’s relationship with Cliff would be a fun Easter egg for fans.
